汝南芝麻產于河南汝南。其皮薄、籽飽、產量高、出油多、脂肪含量高。芝麻直接壓榨所出的油稱大槽油；炒熟后小磨成漿，加開水浸后稱小磨香油。芝麻葉煮熟曬干就成為風味獨特的冬儲干菜。芝麻粒可配制多種食品。榨油后的芝麻餅，富含蛋白質、脂防及灰分，是家畜優質飼料，又為良好的復合肥料。


    
    Runan sesame is produced in Runan County in Henan Province, which has thin skin, plump seeds, high yield and contains high oil and fat content. Sesames can be processed into two kinds of oils: oil filter pressed by sesames directly is rough oil, oil fried and then grant from sesames is sesame oil. Sesame leaves are boiled and the dried in the sun are unique dried vegetables which can store to use in winter. Besides, sesame seeds can be made into various kinds of food. Sesame pastries contain rich nutrition, which are high-quality forage for livestock as well as good compound fertilizer.
